SOMC Hires First LPN Interns

Recently, SOMC hired 8 LPN interns as its first group to kick start the new program.

The interns will work in urgent care services, in SOMC’s Emergency Department and medical-surgical floors to gain real-world experience while preparing for their career in the nursing field.

SOMC already offers an RN Nursing Intern Program for Associate and Bachelor Degree-seeking nursing students, in addition to a Transition to Practice Critical Care Residency Program, which transitions new RNs working in critical care directly into practice.
