Kardia Guild Donates to Maternity Department

The SOMC Kardia Guild recently donated funds to purchase a Postpartum Hemorrhage Rapid Response Unit for the Maternity Department.

This particular piece of equipment allows the Maternity Team to quickly address postpartum hemorrhage in a very timely manner to prevent the mother from experiencing additional complications. Another beneficial component is that the hemorrhage cart is equipped with built-in refrigeration that can be brought into the mother’s room with all the supplies and medications to help manage the postpartum hemorrhage quickly and effectively.
