April is testicular cancer awareness month. Testicular cancer is the leading cancer in men 15-44, but with early detection is one of the most treatable forms of cancer.
Risk factors for testicular cancer include having had an undescended testicle, having had an abnormal development of the testicles and having a family history of testicular cancer. Caucasians are also at a higher risk of testicular cancer.
Talk to your doctor if you have experienced symptoms such as a painless
lump, pain or discomfort in the scrotum or a dull ache or sense of pressure in the lower abdomen, back or groin.
