I want to thank you for your interest in Southern Ohio Medical Center and tell you a little about our culture. Here at SOMC, we are guided by five strategic values: Safety, Quality, Service, Teamwork, and Finance. Not only do we measure these values, we compare them. Our vision is to be the best hospital in the country. This sounds like a big feat, but on a lot of our indicators we are among the best. SOMC’s culture of safety and our employee and provider engagement are some of the best in the country. All of these things have helped us achieve FORTUNE’s 100 Best Places to Work For.
Our commitment to these values is part of what makes SOMC so special, and why we’ve been able to have so much success as an independent, community hospital. That financial stability is important to us because it helps ensure our continued independence. In an area of the country that struggles economically, we have been able to achieve a positive operating margin for nearly 30 years.
At SOMC, we strive to be a leader in our community – and we also work hard to identify leaders within our organization. At SOMC, you can lead from any position.
