Ultrasound
The Ultrasound Department is a subsection of the Medical Imaging Department. The Department is accredited by the American College of Radiology. All technologists are ARDMS registered within one year of hire. The Ultrasound Department offers diagnostic, limited therapeutic and interventional procedures. All services require a physician order. Adequate history information from patient, nursing unit and or chart is essential in determining the pathology being investigated and aids to improve the accuracy of the interpretation.
- Services are provided to outpatients, inpatients, and Emergency Department. Patients from infant through geriatric are seen.
- We offer ultrasounds at the main campus of the hospital, Portsmouth Family Health Center, West Union Family Health Center, Waverly Family Health Center, Wheelersburg Family Health Center, and the Vanceburg Family Health Center.
- Exams can be scheduled through Central Scheduling at 740-356-8128.
